Jeff Cheavens brings more than 28 years of personal trust, employee benefits, and investment experience to Texas Bank and Trust. His experience encompasses all aspects of the trust business and he is uniquely qualified to assist clients in achieving their goals and objectives.
Mr. Cheavens has devoted his entire career to the trust business in Tyler, Texas. His experience includes trust operations functions and administration, real estate property management, and the oil and gas industry. He has worked as a partner with portfolio managers to provide investment management services to clients, and has managed defined contribution, defined benefit, and IRA accounts. For more than 20 years Mr. Cheavens assisted personal trust clients.
Mr. Cheavens received his bachelor of business administration degree in finance from The University of Texas at Tyler and is a graduate of the Texas Bankers Association Employee Benefits School.
As an active member of the community, Mr. Cheavens is involved with both service and professional organizations. He is a life member of the Tyler Chamber of Commerce and a recipient of the Mary Howes Award. Mr. Cheavens serves on the board of directors for Meals on Wheels and is a member of the Tyler Rotary Club. He has served as president of both the UT Tyler Patriots Club and the Tyler Teen Court, and is past president of the East Texas Estate Planning Council.
