TBT Student Board's Fortune 100 Project

Members of the 2012-2013 Texas Bank and Trust Student Board of Directors (SBOD) in Longview and Tyler are set to test their money management skills with a hands-on exercise in running their own small business. The Fortune 100 Project is a real-world simulation in entrepreneurship. The students on each board have been divided into seven-member teams, and were asked to launch a small business between March 1 – March 31, 2013Proceeds from each business we be donated to area charitable organizations chosen by the students. The following is a list of just  a few of those businesses:

Longview Groups:

  • Garage Sale Supporting United Way
    When: Saturday, March 30 at 8:00 a.m
    Where: Seesaw Daycare Parking Lot near the intersection of Fairmont and Gilmer.

Tyler Groups:

  • Car Wash Supporting the Boys and Girls Club
    When: Saturday, March 23 from 9:00-3:00 p.m.
               Saturday, March 30 from 9:00-3:00 p.m.
    Where: March 23 at Texas Bank and Trust South Broadway Branch
                March 30 at Robert E Lee High School
  • Car Wash Supporting Sisters in Christ
    When: Saturday, March 30 from 10:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m
    Where: Texas Bank and Trust West Grande Branch
