Texas Bank and Trust named one of the Top 100 Places to Work in Texas in 2013

LONGVIEW, TEXAS—Texas Bank and Trust was recently named as one of the 2013 Best Companies to Work for in Texas.  The statewide awards program, created in 2006 as a project of Texas Monthly, the Texas Association of Business (TAB), the Texas State Council of the Society for Human Resource Management (TSC-SHRM) and Best Companies Group, was designed to identify and recognize the best places of employment in Texas, benefiting the state's economy, its workforce and businesses.

Only 100 Texas companies are selected each year for the honor.  The 2013 recognition will be Texas Bank and Trust’s first appearance on the Best Companies to Work for in Texas list.

To be considered for participation in the Best Companies program, companies must be a publicly or privately held business with at least 15 employees and a facility within the state. The company must also have been in business a minimum of one year, among other eligibility requirements.

Companies from across the state entered the two-part survey process to determine the Best Companies to Work for in Texas, which include an evaluation of each nominated company's workplace policies, systems, philosophies, practices, and demographics and an employee survey to measure the employee experience.  A critical piece of the nomination process, the employee survey represents approximately 75 percent of the total evaluation.  The combined scores determined the top companies and the final ranking.  Best Companies Group managed the overall registration and survey process in Texas and also analyzed the data and used their expertise to determine the final rankings.

The final rankings will be revealed at the Best Companies to Work for in Texas gala in Austin in March 2013 and will be listed in the April 2013 issue of Texas Monthly to be delivered to subscribers and newsstands in late March.

Texas Bank and Trust stands one of the strongest independent community banks in the state. With a strong base of 375 employees serving in 12 branch locations throughout East Texas, TB&T offers a comprehensive array of deposit, lending, trust, and brokerage services.
