Texas Bank and Trust celebrates the thirty-fifth anniversary of Student Board of Directors, recognizing outstanding high school seniors who have demonstrated academic excellence, leadership, and a commitment to community service.  We are proud to introduce the following members of the 2012-2013 Student Board.

Caroline Rook, daughter of Christina and Chad Rook, is a senior at Grace Community School.  She is a member of the National Honor Society and has been a student government representative all four years of high school.  Caroline is active in soccer, tennis, and cross-country.  She is involved in the student yearbook and is the founder for the school’s photography club.  Caroline is also active in her church, where she volunteers in the nursery, serves on the Chapel team, and participates in community service including World Missions and Mercy Ships.  She plans to attend college at the University of Arkansas, majoring in food, human nutrition, and hospitality, with a concentration in dietetics.

CeRon Ford, son of Veronica Smith and Cecil H. Ford Jr., is a senior at John Tyler High School.  He serves as vice president of the National Honor Society and is president of the student council.  CeRon is involved in Health Occupations Students of America and Leadership of East Texas.  He is captain of the John Tyler Lion Guard and a member of the University Interscholastic League One Act Play.  CeRon is a member of Omega Ministries International Worship Center, where he mentors children, participates in various activities, and teaches.  He also volunteers in the community at the Boys and Girls Club, the food bank, and at area nursing homes.  CeRon is undecided on his college choice at this time but plans to major in biology or business management.

Angelina Sosa Estrada is a senior at John Tyler High School where she is a member of the National Honor Society and on the A/B Honor Roll.  She is a member of the A.M.I.G.O.S. club and Future Farmers of America.  Angelina is very involved in giving back her time, not only at school, but also with Caridad Health Clinic and the Salvation Army.  She plans to attend college at Texas A&M University and earn her doctorate in veterinary medicine.  Once finished with school, Angelina would like to open an animal clinic in a low income area.  She is a member of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception.  Angelina enjoys playing with her dogs and helping others.  She is the daughter of Alicia Estrada and Elias Sosa.
