Texas Bank and Trust celebrates the thirty-fifth anniversary of Student Board of Directors, recognizing outstanding high school seniors who have demonstrated academic excellence, leadership, and a commitment to community service. We are proud to introduce the following members of the 2012-2013 Student Board.
Jose Gregorio, son of Juana and Orlando Gregorio, is a senior at John Tyler High School. He is a member of the National Honor Society and involved in the ROTC program. Jose serves as historian for the Advancement via Individual Determination (AVID) club and is the web designer for the French club. He is a member at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church and active in the Franciscan youth fraternity, YOUFRA. Jose plans to attend college at Texas A&M University, majoring in business. His career goals include obtaining his master’s degree, also in business, and work as an executive in the banking industry. Jose enjoys reading, volunteering, business, and photography.
Patrick Navarro is a senior at Bishop Thomas K. Gorman Regional Catholic School and is a member of the National Honor Society. He is active in the sports program where he is captain of the junior varsity soccer team and involved in both track and field and wrestling. Patrick also sings with the school choir and has received special recognition at TAPPS State Vocal Music Division, Ensemble. He is a community volunteer at East Texas Medical Center and for Sisters in Christ. Patrick plans to attend The University of Texas at Tyler and his career interests include working in the medical field or becoming a psychologist. Patrick is the son of Nina and Ramon Navarro.
Grace Jarrel is a senior at Robert E. Lee High School and the daughter of Ann and Willis Jarrel. She is a member of the National Honor Society and serves as senior class president. Her involvement in the student senate includes participation on the teacher appreciation committee and also with the blood drive for Carter Blood Care. Grace is a recipient of the Rotary Youth Leadership Award. She is a member at Christ Episcopal Church where she serves as an acolyte, helps with Vacation Bible School, and has traveled to Guatemala on a mission trip. Grace is undecided on her college choice at this time but plans to major in business. Her long-term career goal is working in the field of business, specializing in nutrition, fitness, and sports.
