Each year, Azleway, a faith-based, non-profit foster care organization, brings hope and opportunity to more than 1,000 Texas children at risk and in crisis. Their mission is to provide a home, school, and treatment opportunities with intervention and prevention strategies to children and their families. Through Azleway’s wide range of services, children are nurtured as they grow into productive members of society.
On Saturday, October 13, Azleway will hold its Fourth Annual Texas Equestrian Gala at Texas Rose Horse Park in Tyler. Millette Stroud is serving as co-chair for this annual fundraiser and is excited to invite the community to this unique equestrian event that promises to provide great fun and fierce competition, while raising funds for Azleway programs that allow at-risk children an opportunity to recover, grow, learn, and achieve in a loving and committed atmosphere.
The gala includes a wine and artisan cheese tasting with offerings from several Texas wineries, along with live and silent auctions, catering by Villa Montez, and music by Scotty G.
The Grand Prix Show Jumping horse event will also be returning again this year. Grand Prix jumping is an English riding equestrian event requiring absolute cooperation and teamwork between horse and rider.
