This academic year, Texas Bank and Trust celebrates its third anniversary of the Student Board of Directors. This group of outstanding high school seniors has demonstrated academic excellence, leadership, and a commitment to community service. We are proud to introduce the following 2011-2012 Student Board members:
MASON REININGER is a senior at Bishop Thomas K. Gorman Regional Catholic School. He is active in the sports program and plays on both the varsity football and golf teams. Mason is a member of the Boy Scouts of America Order of the Arrow and has served as assistant senior patrol leader, Chaplin’s aide, and crew leader. He plans to study civil engineering at either Texas A&M University or the University of Arkansas. Mason’s interests and hobbies include fishing, hunting, and spending time outdoors, especially at the lake. He is the son of Patricia and Craig Reininger.
DREW EVANS will graduate from Grace Community School where he is a member of the National Honor Society. He serves as vice president of student government, is student leader at Grace Student Ministries, and has attended Student Leadership University in Orlando, Florida. Drew is also on the school basketball and tennis teams. He plans to attend Texas A&M University or Texas Christian University to major in either business or law and then attend law school. Drew is the son of Paula and Greg Evans.
EDUARDO SERRATOS, son of Salud and Agapito Serratos, is a senior at John Tyler High School. He serves as vice president for both the National Honor Society and student council, and is an officer for Future Business Leaders of America. Eduardo is a member of the AVID club and received the most outstanding AVID student award. He has also received the Rotary Young Citizens Club award. Eduardo plans to attend The University of Texas at Austin and study petroleum engineering. His interests and hobbies include drawing, listening to music, and horseback riding.
CATHERINE BUTSCHI is a senior at Robert E. Lee High School and the daughter of Brenda Stratton and Brian Butschi. She is a member of the National Honor Society, the French club, and Health Occupations Students of America. Catherine serves as secretary for the Livestrong club and as treasurer for Mu Alpha Theta. She plays varsity golf and was varsity tennis team district champion. Catherine is a Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership participant and has received the Rotary Youth Leadership Award and the Kohl’s Kids Who Care Award. She plans to major in finance at Brown University.
