This academic year, Texas Bank and Trust celebrates its third anniversary of the Student Board of Directors.  This group of outstanding high school seniors has demonstrated academic excellence, leadership, and a commitment to community service.  We are proud to introduce the following 2011-2012 Student Board members:

     DEVONTÉ HAGGERTY is a senior at John Tyler High School.  He serves on the student council as treasurer and as a volunteer with the East Texas Food Bank and the Toys for Tots program. Through the student council he has also helped to raise approximately $1,200 to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.  DeVonté is captain of the varsity football team, participates in Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and serves on the Principal’s Advisory Committee. He was elected as Mr. Top Teen for the Rose Chapter of Top Teens of America.  DeVonté plans to attend the University of Oklahoma and major in engineering.  His interests and hobbies include fishing, hunting, running track, and family time.  DeVonté is the son of Aretha Dixson Williams and Bradford Haggerty.

     KEATON YEATTS, son of Shana and Clint Yeatts, is a senior at Grace Community High School.  He is a member of the National Honor Society, is active in student government, and serves as student body president.  Keaton is an accomplished athlete and was all-district in both varsity football and basketball and was also a state qualifier in track and field.  Keaton’s career goals include completing his undergraduate degree and pursuing postgraduate studies in either pre-law or business.  He also desires to play basketball internationally and return to the United States for an advanced level coaching position.  Keaton is a community volunteer for PATH, the East Texas Food Bank, and Special Olympics.

     COLE ALT will graduate from Bishop Thomas K. Gorman Regional Catholic School.  He is an active in the sports program, playing on both the varsity football and golf teams, and has also been a member of the school band.  Cole has received merit awards in chemistry and Latin, and is listed on the Honor Roll.  He plans to pursue a career in sports broadcasting upon graduating from the University of Mississippi. His interests and hobbies include hunting, fishing, and sports.  Cole is the son of Dawn Pierce and William Alt.

     REAGAN SMITH is a senior at Robert E. Lee High School where she is a member of the National Honor Society and the student senate, and serves as secretary for both the senior class and the Young Republican’s club.  Regan is also a varsity cheerleader at REL.  She plans to attend The University of Texas at Austin and major in business administration.  Her long-term goals include medical school and becoming a dermatologist.  As a community volunteer, Reagan serves with the Junior Symphony League and also volunteers for the Salvation Army.  She is an active member of Green Acres Baptist Church where she helps with vacation bible school and has traveled on a mission trip to New Orleans.  Reagan is the daughter of Karie and Glen Smith.
