This academic year, Texas Bank and Trust celebrates its third anniversary of the Student Board of Directors. This group of outstanding high school seniors has demonstrated academic excellence, leadership, and a commitment to community service. We are proud to introduce the following 2011-2012 Student Board members:
RUBEN ESPIRICUETA is a senior at Robert E. Lee High School. He is an International Baccalaureate student and a member of the National Honor Society. Ruben serves as a Belle Guard for the Southern Belle Drill Team, is vice president of the French club, and is a member of the LIVESTRONG club. He plans to major in biochemical engineering at Rice University. Ruben’s interests and hobbies include the study of chemistry, running at Rose Rudman Park, and playing basketball. He is the son of Ines and Ruben Espiricueta.
MEREDITH ENLOE, daughter of Darlene and John Enloe, is a senior at Grace Community High School. She is a member of the girls varsity soccer team and has received special recognition and honors, including district, regional, and playing in the final four for state. Meredith is also a member of the Junior Symphony League. She plans to attend Texas A&M University and major in business. Meredith’s interests include playing the guitar and she enjoys most outdoor activities including, hiking, running, wakeboarding, and soccer.
MCKINSEY LANDERS will graduate from Bishop Thomas K. Gorman Regional Catholic School this spring. She serves as president for the Ambassador club and is a member of the biology club. McKinsey is on the cross-country, track, and tennis teams for the school, and also participates in TAPPS number sense. She plans to attend Texas A&M University and major in biomedical sciences with a future goal of becoming a veterinarian. McKinsey is involved with the Girl Scouts and has served several years as a day camp leader. She is the daughter of Cheryl and Robert Landers.
KAITLYN HUSKEY is the daughter of Kristi and Lance Huskey and is a senior at All Saints Episcopal School. She is a member of the Spanish club and the art club. Kaitlyn serves as captain of the school tennis team and co-captain on the volleyball team, and is a member of Fellowship of Christian Athletes. She plans to attend Texas A&M University or possibly Stephen F. Austin State University to study nursing. Kaitlyn’s future goals include a successful career, involvement in her community, and raising a family.
