This academic year, Texas Bank and Trust celebrates its third anniversary of the Student Board of Directors. This group of outstanding high school seniors has demonstrated academic excellence, leadership, and a commitment to community service. We are proud to introduce the following 2011-2012 Student Board members:
REBEKAH BENTLEY is a senior at Grace Community School. She is a four-year member of the tennis team, serves as editor-in-chief for the school newspaper, and is co-chaplain of the National Honor Society. Rebekah is a member of the choir as well as the auditioned choir, is a sight-singing leader, and an accomplished pianist. She plans to attend Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia, and major in Spanish, with a future goal to teach Spanish to high school students or to teach English as a second language to elementary children. Rebekah is the daughter of Dr. Andrew and Joan Bentley.
ANDREA HUERTA, daughter of Gloria Huerta, is a senior at John Tyler High School. She is a member of the National Honor Society and Student Council, and serves as president for Future Business Leaders of America. Andrea has held the highest grade point average for the 2012 class since the eighth grade. She plans to study law at Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and some day open her own law firm. Andrea enjoys volunteering in the community, serving as a tutor, spending time with close friends, and helping others, “no matter what.”
HANNAH FROSSARD will graduate from Bishop Thomas K. Gorman Regional Catholic High School this spring. She serves as a Gorman Ambassador and is a member of the National Honor Society, the pre-med club, and the pro-life club. She runs on both the varsity track and field and the varsity cross-country teams and is head captain of the women’s track team. Hannah is undecided on her college choice at this time but plans to major in pre-med. Her interest and hobbies include art, reading, and riding horses. Hannah is the daughter of Diane and Mike Frossard.
JEREMY THAMES is the son of Suzie and Glenn Thames and a senior at All Saints Episcopal School. He serves as president of the National Honor Society, and is a member of Young Republicans, the history club, and the Spanish club. Jeremy is active in the sports program where he plays on the basketball and golf teams and runs on the track team. He has been a member of the select choir since the ninth-grade. Jeremy plans to major in finance but is undecided on his college choice at this time. He enjoys sports, hunting, and spending time with friends.
