This academic year, Texas Bank and Trust celebrates its second anniversary of the Student Board of Directors. This group of outstanding high school seniors has demonstrated academic excellence, leadership, and a commitment to community service. We are proud to introduce the following 2010-2011 Student Board members:
TAYLOR BLACKBURN is a senior at Grace Community High School. He is a member of the National Honor Society, the Student Government Association, and is the senior class representative. Taylor is an avid golfer and plays on the varsity golf team and also on the varsity football team. He plans to attend Baylor University and major in athletic training, with a future goal of being an orthopedic surgeon. Taylor enjoys hunting, hanging out with friends, and movies. He is the son of Dr. Blair and Michelle Blackburn.
JIMMY LANDES, son of Jamie and Drew Landes, is a senior at Robert E. Lee High School. He is a member of the National Honor Society and the Student Senate. Jimmy is active in the sports program and plays on both the varsity football and baseball teams for the school. He plans to major in pre-med at either Texas A&M University or Baylor University. Jimmy’s interests and hobbies include sports, hunting, and fishing.
MARIA ARAUJO is a senior at John Tyler High School. She serves as the Sentinel in the John Tyler Future Farmers of America (FFA) and also serves as president of the A.M.I.G.O.S. club. Maria plans to attend The University of Texas at Austin and obtain her bachelor’s degree in Health Care Services Administration. She is an active community volunteer at the Literacy Council of Tyler and participates in the Adopt-A-Highway program. Maria is the daughter of Maria Evangelina and Juan Araujo.
