This academic year, Texas Bank and Trust celebrates its second anniversary of the Student Board of Directors. This group of outstanding high school seniors has demonstrated academic excellence, leadership, and a commitment to community service. We are proud to introduce the following 2010-2011 Student Board members:
RICHARD PRICE is the son of Carol and Glenn Price and a senior at Grace Community School. He is active in the sports program and plays both varsity football and soccer, and runs track for the varsity team. Richard is a member of the National Honor Society. He plans to attend the United States Military Academy at West Point and attended the Academy’s Summer Leadership Seminar this past May. Richard’s future plans include serving our country as a commissioned officer in the Army, and eventually a career as a head football coach. He is active in the high school youth group and choir at Green Acres Baptist Church.
JAKE SMITH will graduate from Grace Community School in May. He participates in the sports program where he runs for the school track team and plays on both the football and soccer teams. Jake is also a member of the weight-lifting team and was the state champion in power lifting his sophomore year. He plans to major in finance at either the University of Alabama or the University of Oklahoma and work in banking or financial planning. Jake is the son of Susan and Steve Smith.
MATT GREEN, son of Kay and Glenn Green, is a senior at Grace Community School. He is a four-year varsity letterman on both the football team and soccer team. Matt plans to obtain a degree in computer engineering from Texas A&M University and then use his skills to help others through mission projects around the world. He is active in the Praise Alive Choir and youth group at Green Acres Baptist Church. Matt’s interests include scuba diving and sports.
