Angela Moss

Angela Moss has a passion for helping women and children, and as a board member for Children’s Advocacy Center (CAC) of Smith County, she is able to do just that. Each and every day, child victims of physical and sexual abuse arrive at the CAC where they find help, support, and resources from caring staff, professionals, and volunteers.  The CAC brings the child together with law enforcement, therapists, medical personnel, and prosecutors in a safe, child-friendly place, where the child can tell his or her story only once.  It is a place where the child’s voice will be heard and they and their families can begin to heal.
“So many children have been affected by things that are beyond their control.  I feel if I can do anything to help them, I will,” Mrs. Moss said.
On Sunday, December 5, from 4:00 p.m. through 8:00 p.m., the CAC will present the Holiday Home Tour, with all proceeds benefitting the Children’s Advocacy Center. Mrs. Moss is serving as chair for this event and invites the community to take in the beauty of the holiday season by touring six beautifully decorated Lake Tyler homes. Tour the homes at your leisure via complimentary shuttle service departing every 20 minutes from Brookshire’s in Whitehouse. Holiday hors d’oeuvres will be served in each home. Tickets are $50 per person, providing entry to all six homes.
As an active community volunteer, Mrs. Moss is a member of the Women’s Symphony League of Tyler and the Azzurri Soccer Board of Directors.  She is also a volunteer with the ASSIST Autism Foundation, a new, non-profit organization in Tyler dedicated to helping families find support and care and raising autism awareness.
Mrs. Moss is a native of Tyler and owner and director of Belladonna Day Spa.  She and her husband of 14 years, Richie, are the parents of four children, J.B., 17, Morgan, 13, Seth, 8, and Avery, 7.  The Mosses are active members of Colonial Hills Baptist Church.
“Volunteering is the gift that keeps on giving. When you give, you get back a wonderful feeling like none other,” Mrs. Moss said.
