Texas Bank and Trust celebrates the thirty-sixth anniversary of Student Board of Directors, recognizing outstanding high school seniors who have demonstrated academic excellence, leadership, and a commitment to community service. We are proud to introduce the following members of the 2013-2014 Student Board.
Kendrick Wong, son of Cristina and Peter Wong, is a senior at Grace Community School. He is a member of the National Honor Society and a representative for the school student government. Kendrick is active in the sports program where he plays on the varsity soccer team, is captain of the varsity cross-country team, and is also on the track and field team. He competes on the TAPPS academic math team and is a member of the jazz band. Kendrick hopes to major in chemical engineering at either Texas A&M University or Oklahoma University. His interests and hobbies include sports and spending time with friends.
Michael McGehee is a senior at Bishop Thomas K. Gorman Regional Catholic School. He serves as vice president for the National Honor Society and is a member of the business club. As a member of the Gorman NASA club, Michael traveled to Moscow, Russia with the team to compete in the 2011 Russian International Space Olympics. He plays on the varsity soccer team, is captain of the varsity cross-country team, and plays on the drumline with the Mighty Crusader Band. Michael is a member of the Boy Scouts of America and chapter chief of Order of the Arrow. He enjoys free ride mountain biking/dirt jumping, rock climbing, and camping in his free time. Michael is the son of Lisa and Randall McGehee.
James Trammell is a senior at John Tyler High School where he is vice president of the National Honor Society and a member of the AVID club. He is low brass section leader with the Big Blue Band, earned a one rating at solo and ensemble competition, and advanced to the area and region band. James is a member of the varsity tennis team. He is an active community volunteer and involved in youth ministry at Rose Heights Church. James plans to attend the University of Houston and major in either civil engineering or music composition. His interests and hobbies include exercise, video games, drawing, and writing and playing music. James is the son of Cynthia and Danny Trammell.
