The mission of the United States Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots campaign is to collect new, unwrapped toys during the months of October, November, and December, and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts along with a message of hope to less fortunate children in our community. By uniting all members of our community in a common cause for these three months each year, Toys for Tots strives to help every child experience the joys of Christmas and to contribute to the betterment of our community.

Fran Powell Rodebaugh is serving as the 2013 volunteer coordinator for the Rose City Detachment of the Marine Corps League.

“Registration for children to receive Christmas toys begins in October, and we will be busy making sure each of these children has Christmas,” Mrs. Rodebaugh said. “My hope is for the community to give generously at the Toys for Tots collection sites located at many local businesses, and help us make their Christmas wishes come true. We have over 100 volunteers working to make this happen, and with your continued support, we can help even more children.”

Outside of her service to the Marine Corps League, Mrs. Rodebaugh is also an active member of the Rotary Club of Tyler, where she serves as service chair on the board of directors and was recently recognized as the 2013 Rotarian of the Year. She is a member of the Tyler Area Chamber of Commerce, the Better Business Bureau Ambassadors, and TNT: The Networking Team, a professional business woman’s networking group.  Mrs. Rodebaugh also holds membership with International Franchise Association and Building Service Contractors Association International.

Born in Milton, Florida, Mrs. Rodebaugh has resided in Tyler for 24 years. She is a graduate of Grace Community School and earned her bachelor’s degree from LeTourneau University in Longview, Texas. Mrs. Rodebaugh is the franchisee owner of Office Pride Commercial Cleaners and is the manager of Greenbriar Oaks Mobile Home Community. She and her husband, Randy, have been married for 36 years and are the parents of three adult sons. The Rodebaughs are members of Grace Community Church where Mrs. Rodebaugh serves on the 55+ Alive Board and is a member of Sunday Night Community Group.

“I was raised in Tyler and love being a part of the community. I am blessed to be able to give back,” Mrs. Rodebaugh said. “It is my philosophy of volunteerism to give and help in any way possible, and I feel that the Toys for Tots campaign is a great way to get involved.”
