Texas Bank and Trust celebrates the thirty-sixth anniversary of Student Board of Directors, recognizing outstanding high school seniors who have demonstrated academic excellence, leadership, and a commitment to community service. We are proud to introduce the following members of the 2013-2014 Student Board.

Madeline Wynne is a senior at All Saints Episcopal School. She has served as vice president for the school’s green club, and has been awarded student of the year from the club as well. Madeline is involved with both the Spanish club and the Admissions Committee. She earned second team all-district as a member of the varsity volleyball team. Outside of school, Madeline takes part in the National Youth Leadership State Conference and the Junior Symphony League. She also serves as the head acolyte of St. Mark’s Team at Christ Episcopal Church. Madeline will be attending The University of Texas at Austin this fall where she will study communication. In the future, she plans to work in human resources or pursue a career in law. Madeline is the daughter of Sharon and James Wynne, III.

Madison Smith, daughter of Norma and Dr. Robert Smith, will graduate this spring from All Saints Episcopal School where she serves as Chaplin of the National Honor Society.  She is also the secretary of the art club, founder of the astronomy club, involved in both band and the theatre programs, and an ambassador of All Saints. Madison has earned both all-district and all-state honors with the varsity softball team, and is a member of the varsity volleyball and basketball teams. In her community, Madison is a member of the Junior Symphony League and spends time volunteering at the East Texas Food Bank. Madison will study biology in the fall at Dartmouth College located in Hanover, New Hampshire, where she will continue her softball career with Dartmouth’s Big Green softball team. She aspires to become an orthodontist.

Sandra Garcia is a senior at John Tyler High School where she has served as president of the Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) club and is a member of the National Honor Society. Sandra is also a member of the theatre program, amigos club, junior varsity show choir, and has earned all-state choir as a member of the varsity choir. In her community, Sandra is involved with the Tyler Public Library Advisory Council, a summer program geared toward mentoring and serving as a role model for young teens. This fall, she will attend the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas where she will study psychology. Her hobbies and interests include volunteering, public speaking, acting, singing, and dancing. Sandra is the daughter of Maria and Vicente Garcia.
