Texas Bank and Trust celebrates the thirty-sixth anniversary of Student Board of Directors, recognizing outstanding high school seniors who have demonstrated academic excellence, leadership, and a commitment to community service. We are proud to introduce the following members of the 2013-2014 Student Board.
Rachel Gibson is a senior at Spring Hill High School and the daughter of Liz and Glen Gibson. She is a member of the National Honor Society and was selected to participate in the Rotary Club Leadership Camp her junior year. Rachel is both an accomplished musician and artist. She plays the trumpet with the award winning Blue Brigade Band and has achieved state recognition as an ensemble member at the Texas State Solo and Ensemble Contest. She is also a majorette with the auxiliary line. Rachel’s artwork has been selected to compete in the PTA state competition. She plans to major in art at Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tennessee.
Robert “Boone” Coleman is a senior at Pine Tree High School where he is a member of both the Peer Assistance and Leadership Students (PALS) and BUCS organizations, and serves on the leadership team. He has earned numerous awards competing with the University Interscholastic League academic math/science team. Boone is a member of The Pride Band and advanced to all-region band in 2012. He also runs on the PTHS cross-country team. Although undecided on his college choice, Boone will be a pre-med major and hopes to have a career in medicine or dentistry. He is the son of Cynthia and Darren Coleman.
Krista Bellamy, daughter of Emily and Ron Bellamy, is a senior at Longview High School. She is a member of the National Honor Society and involved with the International Baccalaureate program. Krista serves as student council president, is the senior class vice president, and also plays on the varsity soccer team for the Lady Lobos. She is a member of the youth leadership team at her church and has participated with several mission trips. Krista plans to major in mechanical engineering at LeTourneau University. Her interests and hobbies include piano and photography.
