Texas Bank and Trust celebrates the thirty-fifth anniversary of Student Board of Directors, recognizing outstanding high school seniors who have demonstrated academic excellence, leadership, and a commitment to community service. We are proud to introduce the following members of the 2012-2013 Student Board.
Ellen Austin is a senior this year at Pine Tree High School. She serves as the president of Z-Club, is active in the Peer Assistance and Leadership Students organization (PALS), and is a member of the Pine Tree Precision Drill team. Ellen also serves as vice president for the National Art Honor Society and has been an art mentor to third and fourth grade students as they painted a mural. She plans to major in business at either the University of Houston or Louisiana State University with a long-term career goal to own her own business. Ellen’s interests and hobbies include painting pottery, swimming, running, and crafts. She is the daughter of Jenny and Scott Austin.
Bret Lacy, son of Stephanie Hundley and Len Lacy, is a senior at Trinity School of Texas (TST). He is an active participant in many of the TST student organizations where he has served as editor of the yearbook, been a member of the Student Council, and is a member of both the History club and the Chess club. Bret is also involved in the sports program, playing both golf and basketball for the school. He plans to major in business administration and management at The University of Texas at Austin, with a minor in mass communication in broadcast television. Bret’s interest in the business world has offered him the opportunity, at this young age, to own a vending machine company and be an investor in the stock market.
