This academic year, Texas Bank and Trust celebrates the thirty-fourth anniversary of the Student Board of Directors, a group of outstanding high school seniors who have demonstrated academic excellence, leadership, and a commitment to community service. We are proud to introduce the following 2011-2012 Student Board members:
SAMANTHA HUTCHISON, daughter of Lana and Ron Hutchison, is a senior at Pine Tree High School. She serves as historian for the Precision Drill Team, as captain for the PT Express varsity choir, and as co-president of the Lumberjack club. Samantha is also involved with student council and Z-Club. She plans to major in psychology at Texas A&M University and her future goals include becoming a successful child/family psychologist and obtaining her doctorate. Samantha is active in her church youth group at Alpine Church of Christ and she enjoys photography, traveling, cooking, and reading.
REBECCA STODDARD returned to Trinity School of Texas to complete her final years of high school and will graduate in the spring. As an accomplished ballerina, Rebecca had the opportunity to attend a prestigious ballet school in Pennsylvania for her freshman and sophomore years of high school.
She is a member of the National Honor Society, Z-Club, and the Spanish club, and serves as prom coordinator. Rebecca has also participated in track and volleyball. She plans to major in biology or pre-dental at Louisiana State University and wants to become an orthodontist. Rebecca is active in the youth group at First Presbyterian Church and she is the daughter of Dr. George and Loreba Stoddard.
IISHA TEEL is a senior at Spring Hill High School and is the daughter of Mary Duncan. She is a member of the National Honor Society and Young Business Associates, and has participated in band, basketball, volleyball, track, and powerlifting. Iisha is also involved in the work/study program and has worked as an office assistant at Spring Hill Primary and also at Chick-fil-A. She plans to study pre-med at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston or Texas Christian University, with a future goal of becoming a pediatrician. Iisha’s hobbies and interests include dance, babysitting, swimming, and shopping.
JACKSON LITTLEJOHN is a senior at Longview High School and a member of the National Honor Society and the Interact Club. He serves as captain of the varsity swim team and has been a region qualifier and selected all-district first team in several events. Jackson is also an accomplished musician, playing the cello, bass guitar, and keyboard. He is a member of the high school orchestra, the Longview Youth Symphony Orchestra, and the First Presbyterian Church youth band. Jackson plans to attend Baylor University and major in chemistry/pre-med. His future goals include a medical degree and obtaining his private pilot’s license. Jackson is the son of Dr. Mark and Jill Littlejohn.
