Texas Bank and Trust celebrates the thirty-fifth anniversary of the Student Board of Directors, recognizing outstanding high school seniors who have demonstrated academic excellence, leadership, and a commitment to community service. We are proud to introduce the following members of the 2012-2013 Student Board.
Megan McNaney, daughter of Sheila and Duane McNaney, is a senior at Pine Tree High School. She is a member of the National Honor Society. Megan serves as historian and web master for International Thespian Society (Troupe 2309) and has participated in numerous performances while in high school. She is band captain and clarinet section leader in “The Pride” marching and concert bands, and volunteers as a clarinet coach at Pine Tree Junior High. Megan has participated and placed in various University Interscholastic League (UIL) events including literary criticism, poetry, one-act play, and twirling. She is currently undecided on her college choice but hopes to major in biology/microbiology.
Amanda Wallin is a senior at Pine Tree High School where she excels as a math student. As a member of the math/science team, Amanda represents Pine Tree at University Interscholastic League (UIL) competitions in number sense, calculator, and mathematics. She is also active in Peer Assistance and Leadership Students (PALS). Amanda serves as varsity girls soccer captain and was named 2011 District MVP. She is a member of the youth leadership team at Mobberly Baptist Church. She plans to attend Texas A&M University and major in either mechanical or biomedical engineering. Amanda is the daughter of Leslie and Rob Wallin.
Judson Murray is a senior at Longview High School and the son of Nancy and Jud Murray. He is an International Baccalaureate student and a member of both the National Honor Society and the Latin club. Judson is a member of the Interact Club, an organization that leads team and school spirit during football games, and has played baseball for the Lobos since his freshman year. He is involved in the youth program through his church, traveled to Joplin, Missouri on a mission trip, and helps cook and serve breakfast at Newgate Mission. Judson plans to major in pre-med/pre-dentistry at Baylor University with a future career in dentistry. He was elected to serve as chairman of the Student Board of Directors for this school year.
