This academic year, Texas Bank and Trust celebrates the thirty-fourth anniversary of the Student Board of Directors, a group of outstanding high school seniors who have demonstrated academic excellence, leadership, and a commitment to community service. We are proud to introduce the following 2011-2012 Student Board members:
LAURA FISH is a senior at Pine Tree High School. She is a second-year lieutenant on the Precision
Drill Team, and is a member of the Spanish club, Light the Way club, and Peer Assistance and Leadership Students (PALS). Laura plans to attend Baylor University and major in communication disorders. Her future goals include earning her master’s degree and becoming a speech pathologist. Laura enjoys dance, music, and snow skiing. She is the daughter of Kimberly and Melton Fish.
KINJAL PATEL, a senior at Trinity School of Texas, is the daughter of Sheela and Shehesh Patel. She is a member of the Spanish club and Z-Club, and serves as secretary of the senior class. Kinjal plans to study pre-pharmacy at The University of Texas at Austin with hopes of becoming a pharmacist and someday open a free clinic. Her interests and hobbies include Indian dancing, basketball, and painting.
ALEX ALSTON is a senior at Longview High School where he is a member of the National Honor Society and is involved in the International Baccalaureate program. Alex is also a member of the Interact club and serves on the Student Council. He plans to obtain his degree in business administration at Southern Methodist University or possibly Baylor University, and one day own and operate his own business. Alex is the son of Lisa and Michael Alston.
NICOLE NESBITT, daughter of Carol and Scott Nesbitt, is a senior at Spring Hill High School. She serves as baritone section leader in the Blue Brigade Band and is a member of the yearbook staff. Nicole plans to become a meteorologist and will study at Texas A&M University. She is involved in the youth group and student ministry at Calvary Baptist Church.
JENNIFER LATCH is a senior at Longview High School. She is a member of Z-Club and serves as a band lieutenant and majorette in The Big Green Marching Machine Band. Jennifer plans to study psychology at Texas Tech University. She attends First United Methodist Church and her hobbies include twirling. Jennifer is the daughter of Jaye and Randall Latch.
