This academic year, Texas Bank and Trust celebrates the thirty-third anniversary of the Student Board of Directors, a group of outstanding high school seniors who have demonstrated academic excellence, leadership, and a commitment to community service. We are proud to introduce the following 2010-2011 Student Board members:
CATHERINE ROSS, daughter of Lisa and Dr. John Ross, is a senior at Longview High School. As a member of the Lobo marching band, Catherine has made all-region, all-area, and all-state band the past three years. She is also a varsity majorette, and a member of both the National Honor Society and Z-Club. Catherine plans to attend Baylor University, major in pre-dentistry, and then apply to dental school. She is an active member in the youth group at First Baptist Church and has participated on mission trips to Ecuador. Catherine’s interests and hobbies include travel, tennis, and twirling.
KYLE JENKINS will graduate from Longview High School. He has been active in the sports program during high school, playing on the football, soccer, and golf teams. Kyle plans to major in pre-med at either Texas A&M University or Baylor University with hopes of becoming a surgeon. He has participated in local community service and mission trips across the country as a member of First United Methodist Church. Kyle is also active with the church youth group. He enjoys playing golf and spending time with friends. Kyle is the son of Sandra and Dr. David Jenkins.
JENNIE WORTMAN is a senior at Longview High School and is the daughter of Lynne and David Wortman. She is a member of the National Honor Society and Z-Club. Jennie is a member of the marching band and a varsity majorette. She has participated with the all-region band and also state solo and ensemble. Jennie plans to attend Texas A&M University and major in English and then go into law or business. She hopes to live in either New York City or Los Angeles after college. Jennie’s interests and hobbies include reading, writing, cooking, running, and spending time with family.
CAITLIN DUCHENE will graduate from Longview High School. She serves as senior representative for the Viewette Drill Team, is a member of the National Honor Society, and belongs to both the science club and Z-Club. Caitlin plans to attend The University of Texas at Austin and possibly specialize in a field of psychology. In her free time, Caitlin enjoys dancing, disc golf, horseback riding, and traveling. She is the daughter of Barbara Duchene.
