On Thursday evening, May 5, the Pine Tree Education Foundation (PTEF) & Alumni Community will host the Seventh Annual Beacon Awards Banquet. This special event recognizes and honors teachers not only for their excellence in the classroom, but also for making a difference in the life of a child. Honorees are selected from the hundreds of student essays submitted to the foundation by Pine Tree students who were asked to write about their favorite teacher or school employee. The banquet will be held at Pinecrest Country Club, beginning at 6:30 p.m. All proceeds from the banquet will go to support the annual Grants for Teaching Excellence Awards.
