This academic year, Texas Bank and Trust celebrates the thirty-third anniversary of the Student Board of Directors, a group of outstanding high school seniors who have demonstrated academic excellence, leadership, and a commitment to community service. We are proud to introduce the following 2010-2011 Student Board members:

KRISTIN BURNS, daughter of Melinda and Mike Burns, is a senior at Pine Tree High School. She is a member of the Z-Club and the Peer Assistance and Leadership Students (PALS) organization. Kristin serves as Drum Major for the Pine Tree Pride Marching Band and has also been a majorette. She has received a first division rating on the French horn four consecutive years. Kristin is actively involved at Mobberly Baptist Church, where she sings with the youth choir and serves on the Youth Leadership Council. Kristin is undecided on her college choice at this time.

COLE CAMMACK, a senior at Longview High School, is a member of the National Honor Society and listed on the honor roll with distinction each semester. Cole is also a member of the Interact club, serves on the yearbook staff, and has participated in Leadership Tomorrow. He has narrowed his college choices to Vanderbilt University, Baylor University, or The University of Texas at Austin and will major in either pre-law or pre-dental. Cole participates in the youth group at First United Methodist Church. His interests and hobbies include golf, writing music, and playing the guitar. Cole is the son of Mimi and Bruce Cammack.

VERONICA VASQUEZ is a senior at Pine Tree High School. She serves as vice president of the Z-Club, is involved with the Peer Assistance and Leadership Students (PALS) organization, and competes in UIL social studies/current events. As a member of both the jazz and marching bands, Veronica serves as band captain, has received all-region recognition on the French horn, and qualified to attend state solo and ensemble this school year. She plans to pursue a degree in either music or English at The University of Texas at Austin. Veronica teaches Sunday school at Grace Creek Church. She is the daughter of Tammy Torres.
