This academic year, Texas Bank and Trust celebrates the thirty-third anniversary of the Student Board of Directors, a group of outstanding high school seniors who have demonstrated academic excellence, leadership, and a commitment to community service. We are proud to introduce the following 2010-2011 Student Board members:
BROOKS WELBORN is a senior at Longview High School. He plays varsity baseball and serves as president of the Interact club. Brooks is a member of the National Honor Society. He plans to attend Texas A&M University and major in civil engineering. Brooks is active in the First United Methodist Church youth group. He is the son of Tracey and Dayne Welborn.
PAIGE LACKEY, daughter of Sally and Blake Lackey, is a senior at Pine Tree High School. She is a member of the National Honor Society and Student Council. Paige serves as captain for the Precision Drill Team. She would like to attend Texas A&M University but is unsure of her major at this time. Paige attends First United Methodist Church where she is active in the youth group and sings in the Praise band.
CARLOS RODRIGUEZ is a senior at Longview High School and is the son of Guadalupe and Carlos Rodriguez. He plays soccer for the Lobos and is a member of the National Honor Society. Carlos is also the 2010 East Texas Golden Gloves Boxing Champion in his division. He plans to earn his business administration degree from The University of Texas at Austin and eventually obtain an MBA. Carlos attends St. Mary’s Catholic Church. His interests include reading, exercising, and playing sports.
CATRINE JOHANSEN is a senior at Pine Tree High School where she is member of the Business Professionals of America, the Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America, the Distributive Education Club of America, and the National Honor Society. Catrine is band captain with the Pine Tree Pride and has won awards for all-region and all-area band, and also for solo and ensemble. She plans to attend Brigham Young University and then the University of California, Los Angeles, majoring in dentistry. Catrine is the daughter of Jana and Erik Johansen and is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
