Texas Bank and Trust celebrates the thirty-sixth anniversary of Student Board of Directors, recognizing outstanding high school seniors who have demonstrated academic excellence, leadership, and a commitment to community service. We are proud to introduce the following members of the 2013-2014 Student Board.
Felicia Ellison is a senior at Longview High School where she is involved in the International Baccalaureate program and is a member of the National Honor Society. She is on The Long-View school newspaper staff and serves as the feature editor. Felicia is active in the sports program as a starter for the Lady Lobos varsity soccer team and has earned honorable mention recognition. She has also played club soccer for more than eight years. Felicia plans to attend Baylor College of Medicine and someday specialize in neurology. She is the daughter of Tanja and Scott Riddle.
Austin Rivera, son of Jacqueline and Scott Polk, is a senior at Longview High School. He is a member of the National Honor Society and an International Baccalaureate student. He serves as student council vice president and is treasurer of Interact, a service club that assists numerous school organizations. Austin is also a member of the technology student association, theater, and plays for the Lobo baseball team. He is a Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) scholarship recipient and participated in the National Youth Leadership Forum, which offers programs that provide students with experiences and skills they will require for future career success. Austin plans to attend the United States Military Academy at West Point. He was elected to serve as the Student Board of Directors chairman for this school year.
Michelle Davis is a senior at Pine Tree High School where she is a member of the National Honor Society. She is also a member of the National Art Honor Society and serves as vice president of the art club. Michelle has received numerous awards at regional and area Visual Art Scholastic Event (VASE) as well as local art contests. She serves on student council, Z-Club, and Business Professionals of America. Michelle is a member of the PTHS drumline and is head majorette with The Pride marching band. She also competes on a competitive twirl team and is a member of the American Tae Kwon Do Association. Michelle plans to attend the Savannah College of Art and Design and study sequential art. She is the daughter of James Davis.
