Texas Bank and Trust celebrates the thirty-sixth anniversary of Student Board of Directors, recognizing outstanding high school seniors who have demonstrated academic excellence, leadership, and a commitment to community service. We are proud to introduce the following members of the 2013-2014 Student Board.
Tristan Berlin is a senior at Longview High School. He is a member of the National Honor Society, participates in the International Baccalaureate program, and serves with the Interact Club Color Guard. Tristan is a four-year member of the LOBO varsity track and field team and is the only pole vaulter for LHS. He is a member of the Boy Scouts of America, Troop 291, and is currently working toward his Eagle Scout rank. Tristan serves as the student board advertising chair for the Longview World of Wonders and is an active member of the youth group at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. He has also been a Christian camp counselor at Catholic Pines Camp. Tristan plans to attend Texas Christian University and major in physics. He is the son of Michelle and Brad Osburg.
Michaela Davis, daughter of Debbie and Ricky Dunaway, is a senior at Spring Hill High School. She is a member of the National Honor Society and Z-Club. Michaela plays the trumpet with the SHHS Blue Brigade Band and is an accomplished University Interscholastic League award-winning majorette for the band as well. She also enjoys photography and has participated in photography contests as far away as Hong Kong. Michaela is a member of St. Andrew Presbyterian Church and a community volunteer for both the Hiway 80 Rescue and Newgate Missions. She plans to major in chemical engineering at LeTourneau University and her long-term career goals include working at either U.S. Steel or Eastman Chemical Company.
Ryan Lewis will graduate from Pine Tree High School this spring. He is a member of student council, the debate team, and is co-captain of the academic decathlon team. Ryan is also very involved in the sports program for the PT Pirates as a member of the football, baseball, and golf teams. He is active in the youth group at First Christian Church and has served as a junior counselor for the summer camping program the past four years. Ryan is a community volunteer for the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s, Habitat for Humanity, and Newgate Mission. He is employed as a host at Papacita’s Mexican Restaurant. Ryan plans to attend the University of Arkansas and major in business management. He is the son of Jane and Jerald Lewis.
