Texas Bank and Trust celebrates the thirty-sixth anniversary of Student Board of Directors, recognizing outstanding high school seniors who have demonstrated academic excellence, leadership, and a commitment to community service. We are proud to introduce the following members of the 2013-2014 Student Board.
Sarah Mack is a senior at Longview High School and a member of the National Honor Society and the International Baccalaureate Program. She is also a member of the Viewettes dance team where she serves on the Viewette spirit committee, and is involved with student council and Z-club. She plays on the Lady Lobo varsity soccer team where she was second team all-district. Outside of school, Sarah serves on the Senior Terps Junior Board of Directors. She is active in youth leadership at Mobberly Baptist Church and involved with work and service projects and traveling on mission trips. Sarah has been accepted into the Dwight Look College of Engineering at Texas A&M University, where she plans to study industrial engineering with an emphasis on human factors. Her hobbies and interests include dancing, soccer, and enjoying time with friends. Sarah is the daughter of Dr. Kelly and Patti Mack.
Madison Turner is the daughter of Dr. Steven and Sherry Turner. She will graduate this spring from Longview High School and is a member of the National Honor Society. Madison is a member of Longview’s award-winning “Big Green Marching Machine” band, and is also involved with the theatre arts program. She participates in the Longview Area Youth Symphony Orchestra (LAYSO), where she serves as principal clarinetist. Outside her school activities, Madison works part-time at Papacita’s Mexican Restaurant. Madison will be attending Kilgore College in the fall as a pre-law university transfer student. Her long-term goal is to become an attorney. Madison’s interests and hobbies center around band and music.
Kundanika Lakkadi is a senior at Pine Tree High School and serves as the senior class secretary. She is an award-winning member of the University Interscholastic League (UIL) math and science team, the DECA club, and the Spanish club. Kundanika also serves as treasurer of the Supply club and plays on the varsity tennis team. Outside of school, Kundanika tutors children in math once a week and also volunteers at Martha’s Kitchen in Longview. She plans to attend Vanderbilt University in the fall and study biochemistry, with hopes to become a doctor specializing in interventional cardiology. Her hobbies and interest include playing the piano, reading books, cooking, music, and volunteering at the hospital. Kundanika is the daughter of Dr. Rajashekar and Radha Lakkadi.
