Texas Bank and Trust celebrates the thirty-sixth anniversary of Student Board of Directors, recognizing outstanding high school seniors who have demonstrated academic excellence, leadership, and a commitment to community service. We are proud to introduce the following members of the 2013-2014 Student Board.
Jacob Boles is a senior at Longview High School and is the son of Sharon and Daryl Boles. He is a member of the National Junior Honor Society. Jacob is the trumpet section leader with the Lobo Big Green Marching Machine band and also plays in the school’s jazz band. He plans to major in engineering at Texas A&M University with a long-term goal of “a successful career and making wise investments in order to enjoy a comfortable retirement.” Jacob’s interests and hobbies include music, playing both the guitar and trumpet, and being a member of his church praise band.
Ariel Wayne, daughter of Delander and Terence Wayne, is a senior at Pine Tree High School. She is a member of The Pride marching band where she serves on the flag line. Ariel is active on the leadership team and served on the Spring Hill State Bank Student Board. She is a member of the Delta Sigma Theta GEMS (growing and empowering myself successfully) and received the Finer Womanhood Award presented by the Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, Theta Mu Zeta Chapter of Longview. Ariel is also very active in the youth programs at her church. She hopes to attend Louisiana Tech University and study pre-speech language pathology.
Garrett Littlejohn is a senior at Longview High School and is an International Baccalaureate student. He is the drum major with the Lobo marching band and also plays in the high school jazz band. Garrett has received numerous University Interscholastic League all-area and all-region awards and was the first percussionist from Longview High School to receive state Outstanding Soloist recognition. He also extends his musical talent to the Longview Area Youth Symphony Orchestra and is a member and section leader with the East Texas Symphonic Band. Garrett plans to attend Texas A&M University and study psychology. He is the son of Dr. Stephen and Amy Littlejohn.
