This academic year, Texas Bank and Trust celebrates its inaugural year of the Student Board of Directors in Tyler. This group of outstanding high school seniors has demonstrated academic excellence, leadership, and a commitment to community service. We are proud to introduce the following 2009-2010 Student Board members: THORNELL LEWIS, daughter of Linda and Thorndike Lewis, is a senior at John Tyler High School. She is a member of the National Honor Society, Students Making a Change, and the National Society for High School Scholars. Thornell serves as president of Junior Civitan, and as vice president of the Student Council, and is the varsity cheerleading captain. She also takes duel credit courses with Tyler Junior College. Thornell was elected to serve as secretary for the Student Board of Directors. She plans to attend Texas Christian University and major in either pre-med or nursing. Thornell enjoys cheer, dance, singing, modeling, crafts, and reading medical literature. TAYLOR McCASLIN is a senior at Robert E. Lee High School. He is involved with theatre and serves as treasurer for Thespian Troop 2040. Taylor is a member of the National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta, and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program, and serves as treasurer of Young Democrats. He was elected to serve as Chairman of the Board for the Student Board of Directors. Taylor plans to graduate with his PhD in business honors and management information systems from The University of Texas at Austin. His interests include theatre, computers, reading, and hanging out with friends. Taylor is the son of Ami and Todd McCaslin. ALEXANDREA WOOD is a senior at Robert E. Lee High School and is the daughter of Pamela Wood Hicks and Clayton Wood. She is a member of the National Honor Society and both the French and German clubs. Alexandrea is involved in theatre and serves as president of the thespian club and also serves as vice president of the Bible club. She will major in physics and aviation sciences but is undecided on her college choice at this time. Alexandrea plans to become a pilot after graduation. Her hobbies include aviation and she is an avid reader of books, plays, and the daily newspaper.
