This academic year, Texas Bank and Trust celebrates the thirty-second anniversary of the Student Board of Directors, a group of outstanding high school seniors who have demonstrated academic excellence, leadership, and a commitment to community service. We are proud to introduce the following 2009-2010 Student Board members: LeAndre Benton, son of Carlisa and Lee Benton, is a senior at Longview High School. He is a member of the Longview High School Band and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. LeAndre plans to attend the University of Northwestern State and pursue a degree in music education and a minor in English. His future goals include becoming a band director and later a successful composer. LeAndre’s interests are composing and playing music. Holly Gatton is a senior at Pine Tree High School. She is a member of the Z-Club and is captain of the Pine Tree Precision drill team. Her college of choice is Dallas Baptist University where she plans to pursue a business degree. Her interests include dancing and swimming, and she is an active member of the First Baptist Church youth group. Holly is the daughter of Pam and Steve Gatton. Brandon Bunt is a senior at Pine Tree High School and is the son of Stacey and Brian Bunt. He is a member of the swim team and is involved in Schools for Schools, PALS, Youth Action Committee, Leadership Tomorrow, and Rotary youth leadership. Brandon plans to attend Texas A&M University and major in marketing, with hopes of obtaining a master’s degree in marketing or business administration. His future goals include getting married, starting a family, and seeing the world. Brandon enjoys running, photography, and mission and volunteer work at his church. Sherri Deckelboim is a senior at Pine Tree High School. She is a member of the band, UIL math and science teams, Schools for Schools, and Spanish club. Sherri serves as National Honor Society vice president, Senior Class treasurer, Business Professionals of America secretary, Z-Club community service coordinator and team captain, Junior Engineering Technical Society team captain, and is a Youth Action Committee steering committee member. Though Sherri has not decided on a college at this time she would like to major in economics and then attend law school. Her interests include playing the flute, baking, and cross-stitching. Sherri is the daughter of Rosalind and Gary Deckelboim. |
