This academic year, Texas Bank and Trust celebrates the thirty-second anniversary of the Student Board of Directors, a group of outstanding high school seniors who have demonstrated academic excellence, leadership, and a commitment to community service. We are proud to introduce the following 2009-2010 Student Board members: CHASE REED is a senior at Longview High School. He plays on both the football and soccer teams, and performs with the school theatre. Chase plans to attend Baylor University as a psychiatry/pre-med student with hopes of finishing medical school at New York University. He would like to have a fellowship with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and then return to East Texas and open an adolescent psychiatric clinic. Chase enjoys reading, playing sports, and listening to music. He is the son of Tiffany and Mitch Reed. JENNIFER LITTLE, daughter of Drs. Susan and Mark Little, is a senior at Pine Tree High School. She is a member of the National Honor Society and foreign language club and serves as president for both Student Council-Leadership and Schools for Schools. Jennifer is also involved with Z-Club, Peer Assistance and Leadership Students (PALS), and Crimestoppers. She plans to study pre-med at The University of Texas at Austin. Jennifer’s future goals include volunteer work with Doctors Without Borders and opening therapeutic clinics in various regions of Eastern Africa. She enjoys studio and ballroom dancing, traveling, and yoga. MASON LEONARD is a senior at Pine Tree High School and is the son of Kay Leonard and Forrest Leonard. He plays tennis on the school team and is a member of Schools for Schools and the Spanish club. Mason will attend Baylor University and study biology/pre-med with plans to become a cardiovascular surgeon. He attends First Baptist Church, and Mason’s interest and hobbies include reading, being a community volunteer, and working with Preservation Longview. JULIE BRITTON is a senior at Longview High School. She is an officer of the National Honor Society and a member of the Latin club. Julie serves as captain of the Viewettes and participates in UIL Literary Criticism. She hopes to attend either the University of Chicago or Rice University and major in English or liberal arts. Her future goals include attending law school. Julie enjoys dance, reading, and learning in her spare time. She is the daughter of Kim and Pat Britton. |
