            We collect, use and retain information about our customers only where we reasonably believe that it will help administer our business or provide products, services, and other opportunities to our customers. We collect and retain information only for specific business purposes and we will tell you why we are collecting and retaining it upon your request. We use information to protect and administer your records, and services and to understand your financial needs so that we can provide you with quality products and superior service.

            Realizing that accuracy of information is a major concern for our customers, Texas Bank and Trust Company has established procedures to ensure that this financial information is accurate, current and complete, in keeping with reasonable commercial standards. We also pledge to respond to requests to correct inaccurate information in a timely manner.

            Texas Bank and Trust Company does not reveal specific information about customer accounts or other personally identifiable data to our “affiliates” or to “nonaffiliated third parties” for their independent use unless: 1) Our customer has requested or authorized it; 2) the information is provided to help complete a transaction initiated or authorized by the customer; 3) the information is provided to a reputable credit bureau or similar information reporting agency; or 4) revealing the information otherwise is lawfully permitted or required. Texas Bank and Trust Company does not provide accounts or personal information to non-affiliated companies for the purpose of independent telemarketing or direct mail marketing of any non-financial products or services of those companies.

Maintaining Customer Privacy in Business Relationships with Third Parties

            At times it is necessary to provide personally identifiable information about Texas Bank and Trust Company customers to a third party, such as a vendor or service company that is hired to provide data processing services or provide support or service for one of our products. Texas Bank and Trust Company will require these vendors and service providers, as part of a contract or agreement, to safeguard our confidential customer information and abide by applicable law.

The TB&T online banking section of our website uses multifactor authentication to restrict unauthorized usage.  Customers requesting access to online banking must be properly identified according to our Customer Identification Policy.
